Three detained after Maharashtra Minister’s vehicle vandalised during quota protest

Mumbai, Nov 1: A car in the convoy of NCP leader and Maharashtra minister Hasan Mushrif was vandalized on Wednesday by unidentified individuals. Regarding the event, three persons were taken into custody by the Mumbai Police.

At the time of the incident, Minister Mushrif was not in the car.

As a result, the minister’s home has undergone increased security.

In the video, two individuals are seen at the MLAs’ Mumbai home near Akashvani smashing the glass of the minister’s car and chanting slogans in support of the Maratha reservation.

Around 400 people were arrested by the city’s police for obstructing and burning tires on Pune-Bengaluru National Highway 48 following the pro-Maratha reservation demonstrations that rocked Pune on Tuesday.

A senior Pune Police official stated that the process of identifying further individuals is ongoing, with 10 persons having been identified thus far. At Sinhgad Road Police Station, the demonstrators were charged under IPC sections 143, 146, 188, and 336.
