Anand Agarwal elected Ramgarh bar association president

Ramgarh, Dec. 17: Anand Agarwal was elected president of the Ramgarh Bar Association for the third consecutive term on Saturday.

The election counting of the district bar association concluded late last night.

He defeated Anuj Kumar Sinha by 185 votes. Anand Agarwal got 273 votes, whereas Anuj got 88 votes.

Rishi Kumar Mahto has emerged victorious for the post of Vice President. He defeated Jhalakdev Mahto. Rishi Mahto has received 182 votes, whereas Jhalakdev got 176 votes.

A total of 41 candidates were trying their luck in this election. Out of 421 voters, 387 voters cast their votes, making 16 candidates victorious.

The voting process started at 10 am, and continued till 5.30 pm. The number of voters needed to be improved at the beginning of voting. But till the scheduled time of 4 pm, only 310 voters had exercised their franchise. The poll ended at 5:30 pm, one and a half hours later than the scheduled time.

Candidates for the post of Librarian have already been elected unopposed.

Executive committee members

Among the executive members, Subodh Pandey, Dwarika Prasad, Rajendra Mahto, Raju Kumar, Jagat Mahto, Meenu Kumari, Madan Sharma, Yogesh Chandra Mahato and Tikendra Kumar Mahto were elected.
