“These are not part of Assamese culture. We are a peaceful state. Such “Naxalite tactics” are completely alien to our culture. I have instructed DGP Assam Police to register a case against your leader Rahul Gandhi for provoking the crowd and use the footage you have posted on your handles as evidence. Your unruly behaviour and violation of agreed guidelines have resulted in a massive traffic jam in Guwahati now,” Assam CM stated on X.

Yatra not permitted in the city

In this matter, the police administration said that Yatra is not allowed in the city. Despite the refusal, Rahul Gandhi’s journey was moving towards the city. Therefore the police had put up barricades on the road. In this sequence, the workers travelling with Rahul’s bus tried to break the barricade. Due to this, they clashed with the police personnel.

Regarding the clash between police and workers, Rahul said, rallies of Bajrang Dal and JP Nadda were held through this route, but they are being stopped. Congress workers are strong, they have broken the barricades, but they will not break the law.
