New Delhi, August 16: The Election Commission of India announced the dates for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, and Haryana in a press conference on Friday.
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said elections will be held in three phases in Jammu and Kashmir. Voting will be held on September 18, September 25 and October 1, and the counting of votes will be done on October 4.

Elections in Haryana will be conducted in a single phase. Voting will take place on October 1, and the counting will be held on October 4. There are a total of 2.01 crore voters across 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana, including 95 lakh women voters.
In Jammu and Kashmir, there are a total of 90 constituencies, out of which 74 are General, 9 are reserved for ST, and 7 for SC. The total number of voters is 87.09 lakhs, including 44.46 lakh male and 42.62 lakh female voters. In Jammu and Kashmir, the number of young voters is 20 lakhs. It was stated that Jammu and Kashmir has a total of 11,838 polling stations.
