New Delhi, September 21: Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi at Raj Niwas on Saturday.

Alongside Atishi, AAP leaders Saurabh Bharadwaj, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gahlot, Imran Hussain, and Mukesh Ahlawat were sworn in as ministers in the Delhi cabinet.

At the age of 43, Atishi has become the third woman to serve as Chief Minister of Delhi, after Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dikshit.

A prominent leader of the AAP, she previously served as an Advisor to Manish Sisodia during his tenure as Education Minister.

According to AAP leaders, Atishi was instrumental in transforming the quality of education in government schools across Delhi.

Atishi joined the Aam Aadmi Party at its founding and played a crucial role on the Manifesto Drafting Committee for the 2013 Assembly election. She has also acted as a spokesperson for the party.

She represents the Kalkaji constituency in the Delhi Assembly and manages the largest number of portfolios within the Delhi government.
