New Delhi, Dec 12: Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu on Friday chaired a high-level review to assess airline preparedness for the upcoming winter-fog season.

The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including the DGCA, AAI, airport operators, airlines, and CISF, to ensure “full compliance, accountability, and strict SOPs for fog operations.”

Officials were instructed to focus on real-time data exchange, activation of war rooms, and deployment of CAT-II/III compliant aircraft with qualified crew.

The Minister also highlighted the importance of “safe, seamless and well-coordinated operations, along with timely communication of updates to passengers to help them prepare well in advance,” stressing that every passenger’s convenience and safety is a priority.

In a related move, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Friday dismissed four Flight Operations Inspectors (FOI)—Rish Raj Chatterjee, Seema Jhamnani, Anil Kumar Pokhariyal, and Priyam Kaushik—over their handling of the recent IndiGo flight cancellation crisis.
