Cultural nationalism

He said that the five allegiances of the BJP include cultural nationalism, democracy, Gandhian socialism, equality of all religions and value-based politics.

The former chief minister said that our resolution is Antyodaya with integrated human philosophy. “India is dedicated to the welfare of the world in the spirit of world brotherhood,” he added.

First sacrifice for nation

Marandi said that the BJP does what it says. “We never compromised on our ideas. In independent India, the first sacrifice to protect the unity and integrity of the nation was made by the driving force of the party and the founder of Jan Sangh, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee,” he pointed out.

He said that during the Emergency imposed on the country by the Congress Party, the Jan Sangh even erased its identity to protect democracy.

He maintained that the politics of appeasement has caused great loss to the country. “The partition of the country was also the result of appeasement of Congress,” he said.

Equality of all religions

“In its fundamental thinking, the BJP has not adopted appeasement but equality of all religions. Even today, no discrimination is being made on the basis of religion or sect in the implementation of BJP’s schemes whether it is the Central Government or the State,” he said.

Marandi said that today the BJP has become the largest political party in the world by moving forward on the basis of its principled commitments.

“Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is becoming the leader of the world. Villages, poor farmers, tribals, Dalits and backward communities are all joining the mainstream of development. India’s cultural pride is being re-established,” Marandi said.
