Ranchi, May 30: BJP State President and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi today said that the continuous decrease in the population of Santhal and Pahadia tribals in the Santhal Pargana region is a warning bell.

“When the population of Pahadia decreased in Santhal Pargana, whose population has increased? This is a matter of investigation,” he said.

JMM-Congress deliberately allowed infiltrators

Addressing a press conference in Dumka after the campaigning for three Lok Sabha seats ended today, he said Pahadia villages in the Pakur area have been destroyed. “Where there was once a population of Pahadia, there is a large population of infiltrators. Infiltration has not happened, but JMM-Congress has deliberately done it,” he alleged.

He maintained that Santhal and Pahadia tribals have been displaced in many areas of Pakur and Sahibganj due to the infiltration of Bangladeshis and illegal mining under the protection of the Hemant Soren government. “No one cares about them. After the formation of the BJP government, a special team will be formed to investigate this matter and take appropriate action,” he assured.

Congress-JMM maintains silence over vote bank

“The infiltrators not only snatched the land but also snatched daughters-in-law and daughters. The daughters were cut into 50 pieces and thrown away. Despite this, the INDI alliance did not raise its voice. If the BJP had not raised its voice, no action would have been taken against anyone. Such incidents are happening every day,” he said.

Hemant Soren in jail because of corruption

Marandi said that Hemant Soren has not been sent to jail by the BJP and added, “He has been sent to jail by the agency and the court.”

He said that Hemant Soren was warned through a letter about the illegal stone mining going on in Sahibganj. “Action was demanded on this. The government did not take any action in the light of my letter. Hemant Soren is in jail in the case of illegal stone mining,” he added.

Ranchi MLA had alerted govt

Marandi recalled that Ranchi MLA and former minister CP Singh had said in the House that the then DC of Ranchi Chhavi Ranjan was taking 3 to 5 lakh rupees in the name of giving licenses for weapons. “The government did not take any action on this matter. The job of the MLA of the opposition party is to bring the wrong things to the notice of the government. It is the government’s job to take action. Today, when the agency investigated, the DC and Hemant Soren are in jail,” he said.

BJP will win all three seats

Marandi said that the BJP is fighting all three seats-Dumka, Godda and Rajmahal-with full strength. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously touring in this election. He has visited 7 places so far. The BJP is fighting the election with full preparation. The Prime Minister has done 7 programs in a small state like Jharkhand. This clearly shows how much attachment he has with the state,” he said.

Marandi said the BJP is winning all three Lok Sabha seats of Santhal. “The condition of Santhal is not hidden from anyone. The tribals, Santhals and Pahadias here are in a bad condition. PM Modi has brought many schemes for the people here. The people of the state are standing with the BJP on works like Ujjwala Gas, Ayushman Yojana, electricity, and roads,” he said.
