Ranchi, Feb 24: The budget session of the Jharkhand Assembly commenced on Monday without the presence of the leader of the opposition.
On the first day of the session, Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar addressed the assembly, starting his speech with a traditional “Johar” and extending New Year greetings and best wishes to all members.

In his address, the Governor urged legislators to play a constructive role in the state’s development. He emphasized that the progress of Jharkhand would be bolstered by the valuable suggestions and discussions from all members. Additionally, he congratulated everyone on the successful conduct of the Jharkhand Assembly elections.

While the Governor highlighted the government’s achievements and priorities, the main opposition party, BJP, strongly protested. Senior BJP legislator CP Singh accused the Governor of being made to speak falsehoods, asserting that the points raised in the speech were untrue.
