Ranchi, March 17: BJP Jharkhand state spokesperson Rafia Naz has strongly criticized the Hemant government for halting payments under the Maiyan Samman Yojana, leaving 18 lakh women without financial support. She accused the government of deceiving women under the guise of empowerment.

18 Lakh Women Still Waiting for Their Dues

Naz alleged that the promise of financial aid was merely an election gimmick to gain power. “Not a single rupee has reached the beneficiaries,” she said, calling it a betrayal of women’s trust.

Scheme in Name Only—No Helpline, No Website

She further slammed the government’s inefficiency, stating, “The helpline numbers don’t work, the website is down, and instead of fixing these problems, the government continues to mislead people.”

Naz accused the administration of neglecting women’s welfare: “Neither justice, nor education, nor security is being provided. The government has failed to implement any real empowerment schemes, whether it’s the ₹2,000 stove allowance, ₹2,500 pension for widows and the elderly, free education for daughters, or the Mahila Bank.”

BJP Warns of Protests if Payments Are Delayed

Issuing a strong warning, she declared, “If the dues are not paid soon, BJP will stage protests across the state, taking this issue to every household.”

Where Did the ₹1.45 Lakh Crore Budget Go?

Naz also questioned the allocation of funds: “The Finance Minister claimed there’s enough budget for Maiyaan Samman Yojana. If that’s true, why haven’t 18 lakh women received their payments? Is this government undermining women’s dignity instead of empowering them?”

BJP’s Fight for Women’s Rights

Naz made BJP’s position clear: “This fight is not just for 18 lakh women—it’s for every woman. BJP will not back down until justice is served.”
