Dhanbad, July 12: An FIR was lodged today against newly elected Dhanbad MP Dhulu Mahto and his 23 other supporters for beating, attacking to kill, snatching mobile and damaging vegetable crops in Chitahi Basti under the Barora police station, around 28 km away from here.
Dhulu Mahto, a history sheeter, is already facing 19 criminal cases in Dhanbad and has been convicted in two cases. At one time, he had been facing as many as 49 criminal cases!
The victim and injured woman Neera Devi today afternoon lodged a written complaint at the police station which reportedly made MP Dhulu Mahto and his 11 supporters named accused while 12 others are unknown persons.
Neera Devi is admitted to the ICU of a medical college hospital.
Barbora police station officer-in-charge Vikash Kumar admitted to having lodged the FIR against Dhulu Mahto and others under BNS Sections191 (2), 191 (3),190,329,127 (1),115 (2),118 (1),117 (2),109, 76,303 (2),351(2), and 324 (4).
The complaint has been lodged against Dhulu Mahto and his supporters, Ajay Gorai, Rameshwar Sao, Kedar Yadav, Anand Sharma, Basant Roy, Bhola Roy, Prem Mahto, Nagendra Prajapati, Dumpi Mandal, Subhash Singh and 12 unknown persons.
Dhulu supporters thrashed woman when husband was in court to testify against MP
Notably, a group of alleged supporters of Dhulu Mahto on Thursday damaged the vegetable crops of Neera Devi on the plot and beat up her family members when they protested. As per the allegation, they also bulldozed the hut shop of Neera Devi near Ramraj Temple of Dhulu Mahto for which she has a dispute with MP.
On Thursday, Doman Mahto, the husband of Neera Devi went to the MP, MLA court Dhanbad to appear as a witness in the case against Dhulu Mahto. In the meantime, his alleged supporters destroyed the crop and beat up Neera Devi and her family members.
