Ranchi, June 21: Delhi Public School, Ranchi, celebrated International Yoga Day 2025 with enthusiasm and mindfulness at the Vivekananda Auditorium. The event reflected the school’s strong commitment to holistic education and the timeless practice of yoga. Principal Jaya Chauhan, along with headmasters, teachers and students, actively participated in the celebration.

A Flow of Movement and Mindfulness

The session began with gentle warm-up exercises, gradually moving into a carefully designed sequence of asanas. Students and staff practised a range of postures including Neck and Shoulder Movements, Triyak Tadasana, Kati Chakrasana, Ardha Chakrasana, Padahastasana, Trikonasana, Vajrasana, Ardha Ustrasana, Ustrasana, Sasankasana, Vakrasana, and concluded with the calming Bhramari Pranayama. Each pose was chosen to promote flexibility, improve posture, and foster inner clarity.

A Hybrid Celebration: On-site and Online

While student council members took part in person at the venue, many others joined virtually from their homes—making the event inclusive and far-reaching. The auditorium radiated a spirit of unity and wellness, powered by the collective focus and discipline of the DPS Ranchi community.

Message from the Principal: Yoga as a Way of Life

Speaking at the event, Principal Jaya Chauhan shared her thoughts:  “Yoga is not merely a form of exercise—it’s a way of life that brings together the body, mind and soul. I extend my heartfelt wishes to every student, teacher and parent who has embraced this ancient wisdom with such dedication. Yoga helps us build discipline, emotional resilience and mindfulness—skills essential to both learning and teaching. This celebration is a reminder to make yoga a part of our daily lives and inspire others to do the same. A calm mind, a strong body and a compassionate heart—these are the true hallmarks of education.”
