Ranchi, June 7: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has initiated an investigation against Parmeshwar Yadav, former Chief Manager (Mining) of the Rajmahal Area at Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) in Godda, on charges of acquiring assets disproportionate to his known income.

The CBI’s Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) based in Ranchi has registered a case in this matter.

According to the FIR filed by the CBI, Parmeshwar Yadav is alleged to have amassed assets worth over ₹54 lakh beyond his known legitimate income sources during the period from January 1, 2019, to May 22, 2025.

The CBI obtained information indicating that between January 1, 2019, and May 22, 2024, Parmeshwar Yadav had a total income of ₹1.57 crore from all known sources, and during this period, he spent ₹1.21 crore.
However, during the investigation, the CBI discovered that, in addition to his expenditures, he acquired movable and immovable assets worth ₹90,37,643 either in his own name or in the names of his family members.

Thus, Parmeshwar Yadav allegedly accumulated assets exceeding his declared income by around ₹54 lakh, which he has failed to satisfactorily explain.
