Chennai, Nov 16: Income Tax officials conducted raids at the home of a Karnataka-based textile businessman on Thyagaraya Nagar Radhakrishnan Street in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Thursday.

The presence of an income tax official’s vehicle parked outside was observed, and security was maintained with the deployment of Chennai police during the operation.

Earlier on November 7, Income Tax raided locations connected to Minister of Public Works and Highways for Tamil Nadu, EV Velu, in Tiruvannamalai.

The raids were carried out at sites allegedly linked to the Minister.
