Jamshedpur, Dec 14: The chill is all set to intensify across Jharkhand, said the Met office forecast today.

IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of clear and dry weather in Jharkhand during the next few days.

Clear weather usually results in a drop in minimum temperature. There won’t be much variations in the day’s temperature.

Satellite pictures suggested that a trough in westerlies in mid-tropospheric levels with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level was running roughly along Long. 86°E to the north of Lat. 26°N.

Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24 hours.

The highest maximum temperature of 28.4°C was recorded at Chaibasa while the lowest minimum temperature of 9.0°C was also recorded at Chaibasa during the past 24 hours.
