Ranchi, June 21: Chief Minister Champai Soren stated that it is the government’s commitment to ensure that no student in the state is deprived of higher and technical education due to financial constraints.
In this direction, the state government has initiated several schemes. These schemes aim to provide easy access to benefits for the state’s poor and meritorious students. The Chief Minister made these remarks today during a high-level meeting of the Higher and Technical Education Department at the Jharkhand Secretariat.
On this occasion, he also launched the “Go Live of Student Application Module” under the Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme. Under this scheme, students who have been selected for higher educational institutions can apply online. Subsequently, they will be provided with education loans of up to Rs. 15 lakh by the banks with which the government has signed agreements.
Students should get full benefit of flagship schemes related to education
The Chief Minister said that the government has started many schemes for students like Guruji Credit Card Scheme, Chief Minister Education Promotion Scheme and Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme. Thus, poor and needy students should get the benefit of these schemes.
The Chief Minister said that the government is trying to ensure that the lack of money does not become an obstacle for the children here in pursuing courses like medical engineering, fashion designing, journalism and law along with coaching for competitive examinations.

Students should get excellent higher education in Jharkhand
The Chief Minister emphasized on making higher and technical education in the state better and excellent. He said that a large number of students from here go to other states for higher education.
In such a situation, the state government will have to make efforts to ensure that there is a strong system of campus placement along with quality education in the higher education institutions here, so that the students here can get a good education in their own state along with a good job.
CM directs to speed up construction work of higher educational institutions
The Chief Minister said that many building construction works are going on in various educational institutions along with many new degree colleges in the state.
He directed the officials to speed up the construction work of these buildings and complete it within the stipulated time frame, so that the teachers and students here can get its benefit.
He said that many new colleges are being opened by the government in towns, small cities and blocks, so that the students here can get better and higher education near their homes.
CM directs to make Tribal University functional soon
The Chief Minister directed the officials to make the Tribal University to be opened in Jamshedpur functional soon. He said that this university will mean a lot to this state and will promote the tribal languages here.
He directed the officials to complete all the processes including appointments for starting this university as soon as possible.
Better results must come out of schemes related to higher education
The Chief Minister took detailed information about the schemes related to higher and technical education in the meeting.
He gave clear instructions to the officials that whatever schemes are being implemented, better results should be achieved.
