New Delhi, Oct 26: For the forthcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, the Congress party announced its second list of 23 candidates on Saturday.

According to the list, the party has nominated Rajesh Tukaram Manvatkar for Bhusawal-SC constituency, Swati Sandip Wakekar for Jalgaon (Jamod), Mahesh Gangane for Akot, Shekhar Pramodbabu Shende for Wardha seat, Anuja Sunil Kedar for Savner, Girish Krushnarao Pandav for Nagpur South, Suresh Yadavrao Bhoyar for Kamthi, Puja Ganesh Thavkar for Bhandara SC, and Dalip Waman Bansod for Arjuni-Morgaon-SC seat.

Additionally, the party has chosen Rajkumar Lotuji Puram for Amgaon-ST constituency, Vasant Chinduji Purke for Ralegaon, Balasaheb Shankarrao Mangulkar for Yavatmal, Jitendra Shivajirao Moghe for Ami-ST, Sahebrao Dattrao Kamble for Umarkhed-SC, Kalias Kisanrao Gortantyal for Jalna, and Madhukar Krishnarao Deshmukh for Aurangabad East seat.

Furthermore, the party has nominated Vijay Govind Patil for Vasai constituency, Kalu Badheliya for Kandivali East, Yashwant Jayprakash Singh for Charkop, Ganesh Kumar Yadav for Sion Koliwada, Hemant Ogale for Shrirampur-SC, Abhaykumar Satishrao Salunkhe for Nilanga, and Ganpatrao Appasaheb Patil for the Shirol seat.

Earlier on Thursday, Congress had announced its first list of 48 candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly polls.

The Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance has disclosed its seat-sharing arrangement for 255 constituencies, allocating 85 seats to each party. The remaining 33 seats in the state Assembly will be distributed based on the respective candidate lists of the parties for which the discussions are underway.

Voting for the 288-member Maharashtra assembly is scheduled for November 20, with the vote counting set to occur on November 23.
