New Delhi, April 3: The Delhi unit of the BJP has sent senior AAP leader Atishi with a defamation notice and demanded a public apology for her assertion that she was approached by the BJP to join it through a very close person.
Virendra Sachdeva, the chief of the Delhi BJP, stated during a press conference on Wednesday in New Delhi that Atishi was served with a defamation notice demanding a public apology for her claim.
“Atishi failed to provide evidence of who approached her, how and when. The AAP is undergoing a crisis in Delhi, which is why they are making such baseless allegations out of frustration. But we will not let her get away with this,” stated Delhi BJP chief.

Sachdeva demanded that Atishi provide her phone to a probe agency in order to substantiate her allegation.
The day before, Atishi asserted that four senior AAP leaders, including herself, would face imminent arrest. She further alleged that she was asked to join the BJP or prepare for arrest by the Enforcement Directorate within a month.
The legal representative for Delhi’s BJP stated that the party has served Atishi with a defamation notice, demanding the withdrawal of her statement characterized as false, defamatory, and fabricated, and asserted it was made with malicious intent.
