Dhanbad: Class IX student dies in classroom

Dhanbad, Dec 18: A class IX student identified as Ajay Kumar Sab suddenly fell from the bench and died in the classroom in Symbosis Public School Loharbarba under Barbadda police station area around 10 km away from the district headquarters in the afternoon today.

The principal of the school, Indrani Ghosh, told media persons that the incident occurred around 12.15 noon. The boy was sitting in the classroom and all of a sudden fell down on the ground. He became unconscious and was duly taken to nearby Aserfi Hospital.

Having seen his critical condition Aserfi hospital doctors referred Ajay to Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH) Saraidhela where doctors declared him dead.

A class IX student who was also there at the time of the incident on condition of anonymity said that Ajay all of a sudden began breathing fast. After a few minutes, he became calm and fell to the ground.

After getting information Jagdish Sab father of the student also reached the hospital. A member of his family said that he was a heart patient but had not so serious ailment to die all all of a sudden. Barbadda police station officer-in-charge Bikram Singh told media persons that he would initiate a probe only after getting a post-mortem report.
