Dhanbad, Dec 21: A squad of 26 athletes from the Dhanbad district has been announced for the Jharkhand State Cross Country Race, scheduled to take place in Jamshedpur on December 31.
The list of selected boys and girls for various age group events was revealed by Bandhan Toppo, General Secretary of the Dhanbad District Athletics Association.
Selection Process
Toppo explained that the sprinters were selected based on their performance in the selection trial held at DAV Public School, Koyla Nagar, on December 15.
Abhijit Patra has been appointed as the manager of the squad. The team is set to depart for Jamshedpur via Swarnrekha Express on December 30.

16 Years Age Group: Ankit Kumar Ray, Bitu Kumar Yadav
18 Years Age Group: Raju Rajwar, Sagar Kumar Mahto
20 Years Age Group: Abhishek Hazra, Santosh Kumar Yadav, Sumit Kumar Mahto, Roshan Yadav, Sidhant Kalondi, Raghunath Mahto
