East Singhbhum chess body plans new committee, tournament, annual prize night

Jamshedpur, Sept 25: The East Singhbhum District Chess Association held a meeting today under the chairmanship of its President, Mukul Binayak Choudhary. The meeting was attended by Secretary Narendra Kumar Tiwari, along with several members.

During the discussions, three major decisions were taken. It was resolved that a new committee of the association will be formed by the first week of November.

The association also decided to organize a rating tournament in the last week of December, providing local players an opportunity to earn official ratings.

In addition, the Annual Prize Night will be held on October 18 at 6 p.m., where achievers and promising talents in the field of chess will be felicitated.

According to Secretary Narendra Kumar Tiwari, these steps are aimed at further strengthening chess activities in the district and encouraging budding players.
