Jamshedpur, August 30: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Karn Satyarthi reviewed the progress of various development schemes funded under Untied Fund, DMFT, NITI Aayog, and MP/MLA LAD during a meeting held at the collectorate auditorium on Saturday.

Expressing dissatisfaction over delays in the completion of several projects, the DC instructed officials to set realistic timelines at the approval stage itself and warned that accountability would be fixed in cases of unnecessary delays.

The DC directed that incomplete projects must be expedited, and in case of non-performance, technical inspection reports should be submitted and fresh tenders issued.

Strict action was ordered against contractors showing negligence, poor quality, or laxity in work.

“Timely completion of works is the responsibility of engineering departments. Executive engineers must conduct regular inspections to monitor physical progress on-site,” the DC stressed.
