Jamshedpur, August 4: A condolence meeting was held at the East Singhbhum District Collectorate auditorium to pay homage to former Jharkhand Chief Minister and sitting Rajya Sabha MP Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, who passed away this morning.
The gathering witnessed the presence of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Additional Deputy Commissioner, senior officials, and staff members from various departments.
Floral tributes were offered to the departed soul, followed by a two-minute silence to pray for eternal peace.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi expressed deep sorrow over the demise of the veteran leader.
“The news of the passing of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren is profoundly saddening. His contribution to the state and its people will always be remembered with respect and reverence. May his soul rest in peace,” he said.
Similar condolence meetings were also held across all block offices in the district, where officers and staff paid heartfelt tributes to the departed leader.
