Ranchi, Nov. 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched a blistering attack on the JMM-Congress government and cautioned the people to stay vigilant of its divisive tactics of breaking and destroying the country.

Addressing election rallies at Chandankyari in Bokaro district and Gumla, Modi said that the Congress is out to divide the STs, SCs and OBCs.

“So long as the OBCs were divided, the Congress ruled the country. But since 1990 when the OBCs were united, the Congress has not been able to get 250 seats in the Lok Sabha,” he pointed out.

The assembly election is due on November 13 in Chandankyari where BJP candidate Amar Bauri is contesting elections.

125 OBCs in Bokaro

Citing example, Modi pointed out that there are 125 other backward castes (OBCs) in the Bokaro region. “But the Congress-JMM wants to engage them in a fight against each other and grab the power. The Congress’s deceit is to break the OBCs in pieces and make their voices weak. So, ek rahange to safe rahenge (you will be safe, if you are united),” he sermonised.

Considering that Chandankyari constituency is reserved for Scheduled Castes, Modi invoked Baba Saheb Ambedkar and raised the Congress’ bid in alliance with the National Conference to restore Article 370 in J&K. “The Congress has no regard for Ambedkar. The party deprived Dalits of OBCs of reservation provided under Ambedkar’s constitution,” he said.

Later, Modi reiterated his unity appeal of ‘ek rahenge to safe rahenge’ while addressing a poll rally in Gumla. He said that the division of tribals into castes would reduce their strength. He also slammed Congress and JMM accusing them of deliberately limiting the growth of the state.

The prime minister said, “JMM-Congress has always kept Jharkhand backwards but BJP-NDA has made Jharkhand the centre of big schemes related to the development of the country.”

Modi further said that the JMM and the Congress have different intentions. Congress knows that it got destroyed in the tribal, OBC and Dalit-dominated states because these communities got united there. “That is why the royal family of Congress wants to break the unity of our SC/ST and OBC communities. These people want to snatch away the reservation given to SC/ST and OBC. The BJP-NDA government is working on the basic mantra of Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas. By following this path, Jharkhand will develop, and India will develop,” he added.

Article 370

The prime minister said Kashmir continued to burn in the fire of terrorism for so many decades. “The country was not even allowed to know that two constitutions prevailed in this country for 70 years. The BJP abrogated Article 370 and for the first time, the J&K chief minister took oath under Ambedkar’s Constitution. Now, the Congress wants to restore Article 370 and bring back terrorism in J&K. hamare naujwan jo fauz mei hai unko atank kea ag mne jhonka chahte hai,” he said.

PM on paper leaks

The prime minister also referred to paper leaks and the system of ‘kharchi-parchi’ to get a government job. “We have buried the kharchi-parchi’ in Haryana and will do the same in Jharkhand too,” he said.

“As soon as the BJP-NDA government is formed, we will bring the mafia to justice. Modi will destroy all the plans of those who have played with the future of the youth,” he vowed.

Free power guarantee

Modi also took a dig at the free power guarantee given by the JMM-Congress government. “We will not allow loot of the treasury and give free electricity. This free electricity will be given through solar plants. The central government will give Rs 75000-Rs 80,000 to every household to this, generate 300 units of free electricity,” he said.

Modi on ‘Ghupaithiya’

Modi also talked of the issue of ghuspaithiya’ and the central government’s plan to revive sick industries in Jharkhand and referred to how he revived the Sindri fertiliser plant and gave jobs to thousands of youths.

On the corruption issue, he said that the BJP-NDA government will fight the case in court to bring to justice all those who looted the public money.
