Daltonganj, May 27: “The Jharkhand government is in reverse gear. It’s now Lootkhand. From CO to the CMO, corruption is rampant”, charged the ex-Chief Minister and ex-Odisha Governor Raghubar Das here in Daltonganj on Tuesday.

Das didn’t stop here when he said, “It’s all golmaal here in Jharkhand. Syndicate of coal, sand, wine and land are having influence and say in the government”.

The state has a loud-mouthed health minister, where poor quality medicines are reaching the poor, said Das.

On extremism, Das had a word of praise for the Latehar district police and the security forces, saying extremism is rearing its head in many parts of the state, which is a matter of concern.

Referring to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Home Minister Amit Shah that extremism will be wiped out of the states by end of March 2026, but back here in Jharkhand, the extremist scenario is different, said Das.

The ex-CM parried the question in regard to his role in the BJP, saying, “I am Das and I will be working as a Das of the party which has given me everything.”

The former Chief Minister rapped Hemant Soren and Congress for betraying the people, especially the women.

“The Hemant Soren government is a government of publicity and propaganda. Right at the time of the assembly election, Hemant Soren went for massive hoardings promising the moon to the women in the age group of 18 to 50, but once the election was over, he forgot his own word,” added Das.

Raghubar Das was accompanied by MP Vishnu Dayal Ram, MLAs Alok Chourasia and Dr Shashi Bhushan Mehta and district president of the BJP Amit Tiwary.
