Jamshedpur, Jan 3: The 13th Annual Flower and Vegetable Show, hosted by Tata Steel West Bokaro Division, kicked off today at the Tata Steel Sports Complex, West Bokaro.
The exhibition will be held for three days till January 5.
D.B. Sundara Ramam, Vice President, Raw Materials, Tata Steel, inaugurated the exhibition by cutting the ribbon, in the presence of D.B. Shailaja, Anurag Dixit, General Manager, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel, Raksha Dixit, Mahesh Prasad, President, Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Union, West Bokaro, and P.K. Singh, Secretary, Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Union, West Bokaro.

On the occasion, D.B. Sundara Ramam, Vice President, Raw Materials, Tata Steel, remarked, “Our ancestors recognized the vital role nature plays in human life, and Tata Steel is dedicated to upholding these invaluable lessons. Today, we are committed to enhancing the quality of life in communities and society, ensuring that future generations can thrive in a cleaner, healthier environment. It is heartening to see that today’s exhibition featured schoolchildren discussing energy conservation and global warming, reflecting their deep awareness and responsibility toward these critical issues.”
The three-day event displays 54 stalls, representing various institutions, vendor partners, and schools, alongside seven delightful food stalls.
The exhibition features an impressive display of diverse flowers, vegetables, and plants. Visitors can participate in engaging competitions, including sand painting, rangoli, sketch and color painting, as well as art and craft activities, alongside contests between local nurseries.

In addition, cultural performances showcasing the rich traditions and heritage of Jharkhand will captivate the audience.
The event will culminate with its grand closure on January 5.
