Daltonganj, Nov 12: Attempt to take ‘foul’ admission in the first year of the 2025 batch of the MBBS courses in the Medinirai Medical College and Hospital (MMCH), Daltonganj, has been stalled by the Principal of the medical college, Dr P N Mahto.
Speaking to the Jharkhand Story Network correspondent on Wednesday, the Principal Dr Mahto said, “A boy and a girl turned up for admission in the first year of MBBS courses in this ongoing batch of 2025.”
Mismatch Detected Between NEET Form and Admission Documents
The boy had originally filled up his NEET PG competition exam form as a General category candidate.

However, the boy presented his income certificate under EWS (Economically Weaker Section) at the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) to secure a confirmed seat in the MMCH.
“The boy presented his same foul credentials at the MMCH Daltonganj. Our admission team scanned it very minutely. Our team found a visible mismatch,” added the Principal.

The online search for this boy’s previous NEET PG competition exam form showed him as a General candidate, but here at the admission time in the MMCH, he showed his income certificate, which aroused immense suspicion and when the boy was told of this mismatch, he got building pressure on this medical college which was deflated by the medical college officials, said the Principal.
This anomaly ought to have been detected at the JCECEB in Ranchi itself.
However, the boy was denied admission in the MMCH Daltonganj. He returned without any success here for his admission.
Girl Candidate Falsely Claimed OBC Status
The second such attempt to take foul admission was made by a girl candidate. This girl candidate was an upper caste girl.
However, here and at the JCECEB in Ranchi, she showed up herself as an OBC, said the Principal Dr Mahto.
Dr Mahto said, “We detected this anomaly well in time. She was refused admission. She too went back.”
ACS Health Orders Stricter Scrutiny of Admission Credentials
The attempt to play foul game in the admission here was brought to the notice of the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of Health Ajoy Kumar Singh, who held a video conference with the principals of the state medical colleges in Jharkhand, asking them to go for a minute and meticulous scrutiny and matching of the credentials for the admission seekers.

“Our ACS Health Ajoy Kumar Singh held a video conference on Tuesday. He asked all the principals to be extremely vigilant and alert for such a foul entry in the government medical college. We will frustrate such attempts. We appeal to the candidates and their parents not to indulge in such a blatant malpractice, consequences of which are very serious and damaging to the careers of such unscrupulous candidates,” said the Principal.
The MMCH Daltonganj has an intake capacity of 100 students in the first year every year, and as against 100, 98 admissions have taken place in the 2025 batch.
