Jamshedpur, April 24: Jharkhand is heading into a spell of volatile pre-monsoon weather, with intense heat and fast-developing storms expected over the coming days, keeping residents on alert.

At present, several districts are reporting temperatures above 40°C. The south-eastern belt—particularly Seraikela, East Singhbhum and West Singhbhum—is likely to face heatwave conditions. Warm nights are adding to the discomfort.
Thunderstorms to Begin from April 24
From April 24, isolated parts of eastern Jharkhand may witness thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds of 30–40 kmph. These may bring brief relief from the heat.
