Ranchi, Sept 12: Class IX student, Hrishik Sinha of Delhi Public School, Ranchi, has earned national recognition as an emerging artist in Pakhavaj.
He was awarded the First Prize in the 15th All India Inter-School Competition organised by Roots to Routes, under the Ministry of Art & Culture, Government of India, as part of its Cultural Talent Search Programme.

Today, he was felicitated by the Principal, Dr. Jaya Chauhan, who presented him with a certificate of appreciation and the award. His name has also been nominated for the prestigious Prime Minister’s National Award for Children 2025 in the field of Pakhavaj and Tabla.

Adding further to his achievements, Hrishik has also been selected from Jharkhand and Bihar in the Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Examination conducted by the Centre for Cultural Resource and Training (CCRT), Ministry of Art & Culture, Government of India.
Competing against lakhs of students from across the country, he has been awarded a two-year Government of India scholarship, a feat that brings glory to both Jharkhand and his school.

Speaking on the moment, Dr. Jaya Chauhan, Principal, DPS Ranchi, said, “Hrishik’s journey is an inspiration for all young learners. His dedication to classical music and his achievements at such a young age have brought laurels to our school and to the state of Jharkhand. We believe he will continue to excel and make a mark in the field of music, while also being a role model for his peers.”
