Under the leadership of Jharkhand IMA President Dr AK Singh and State Secretary Dr Pradeep Kumar Singh, the MSN units have been established at both the state and medical college levels. The Secretary General of the IMA national body has been duly informed about the formation of these committees.

A senior office bearer of state IMA said that the MSN units are designed to serve as a bridge between the IMA and MBBS students, keeping both state and national bodies informed about student activities and issues.

Following the establishment of the Resident Doctors Network (RDN) by the IMA in February, the network has become active at RIMS and Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College Hospital (MGMMCH) Jamshedpur.

In response to the recent incident involving a female doctor in Kolkata, Dr Vikash Kumar, Dr Jaideep at RIMS, and Dr Raghvendra at MGMMCH have led efforts advocating for justice and improved safety for medical students. However, resident doctors at other colleges have not yet shown similar engagement.
