New Delhi, August 7: Members of the INDIA bloc held a protest outside Parliament on Thursday, opposing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) drive in Bihar and the arrests of workers in BJP-ruled states.
Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi also joined the demonstration.
The Congress alleged that the SIR process in Bihar is being misused to steal votes. The party accused the BJP government of colluding with the Election Commission to deprive people in Bihar of their voting rights, calling it a grave injustice and demanding a debate on the issue in Parliament.

Congress further claimed that the Modi government is evading questions by repeatedly adjourning the House to avoid discussions.
The party said that INDIA bloc MPs gathered at Makar Dwar in Parliament to strongly oppose what they called an undemocratic move by the government.
Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress (TMC) MPs also staged a separate protest inside the Parliament complex, holding placards against what they described as the Modi government’s continued humiliation of West Bengal.
