Muscat, Nov 30: The Indian Junior hockey team on Saturday achieved a hard-earned 3-2 triumph over Japan in their second match of the Men’s Junior Asia Cup 2024 in Oman’s Muscat.
India took an early lead with Thokchom Kingson Singh’s goal in the 12th minute, but Japan’s Neo Sato struck twice (15′, 38′) to bring the match to level terms.
The second half saw intense exchanges, with Rohit (36′) putting India ahead again, only for Sato to equalize shortly after in the 38th minute.

However, Araijeet Singh Hundal’s decisive goal in the 39th minute restored India’s advantage, which they defended successfully to claim the win.
Prince Deep Singh’s sharp goalkeeping until the last moment ensured India’s 3-2 triumph.
India is set to face Chinese Taipei in their upcoming match on Saturday at 18:15 IST.
