Daltonganj, May 4: Did Prime Minister Narendra Modi feel peeved with the strict adherence to the security protocol conducted by the Palamu administration on this VVIP visit here in Daltonganj today?

Modi held his rally in Daltonganj in favour of his candidate Vishnu Dayal Ram for the Palamu Lok Sabha seat. He scanned the crowd and found it sluggish because of the frisking etc.

He saw men and women waiting for frisking before coming into the hangar.

Security team strict, but not obstructive

The security team was strict but not obstructive. It was in no mood to show any laxity. It was all determined to avoid any lapse or breach of security protocol.

This correspondent was asked by the cops at the media gate to remove his ball pen citing orders from above.

It was here when a district PRD functionary intervened that this correspondent and a few more journalists behind him were allowed to enter the ground with pens intact in the pickets.

Cops not allowed bottled water

The cops were objecting to carrying even small bottled water in this cruel summer.

The Prime Minister saw it himself that there was a very strict security cover for him.

He could not stop himself when he quipped at last, “Itni scrutiny ki kiya jaroorat hai?”

Modi further said, “I understand my voice is not reaching out to the law enforcers. I ask people on the stage to step out and see there is relaxation for the gathering.”

He said to let these people come inside the hangar and administrative officials should be considerate enough to see how sharp is the Sun outside the hangar.

As the crowd swelled, he said “Yeh pandal chhota par gaya (This hangar is proving small before the swelling crowd).
