Jamshedpur, Nov 22: DBMS English School witnessed a vibrant showcase of eloquence and talent as students from KG II to Std XII participated in the English Recitation, Elocution, Prose and Declamation Contest on Wednesday. The event was marked by enthusiasm and zeal, showcasing the school’s commitment to fostering public speaking skills and overall personality development.

The competition provided a platform for students to not only showcase their linguistic prowess but also to enhance their public speaking skills. The carefully selected poems and prose pieces reflected the diverse literary tastes and linguistic flair of the participants, making the event a true celebration of language and expression.

Every contestant demonstrated exceptional selection and delivery of their chosen pieces, highlighting their dedication to the art of oratory. The oratory skills displayed were of the highest order, with each participant showcasing perfect diction, intonation and expression.

A distinguished panel of judges, comprised of Senior English Teachers, lent their expertise to evaluate the performances. Moushumi Mukherjee of Carmel Junior College, K. Priya of D.B.M.S Kadma High School and Sukanya Sarkar of Kerala Samajam Model School brought a wealth of experience to the task. They not only assessed the participants but also provided valuable feedback and tips for improving public speaking skills.

The judges commended the students on their oratory skills, display of confidence and stage presence. Their encouragement was a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals.

The prize distribution ceremony was a moment of pride and celebration. Members of the School Managing Committee, along with the esteemed Principal, Rajani Shekhar, and Vice Principal, P.K. Sahu, initiated the distribution of prizes. The event was graced by the proud parents of the contestants, adding a touch of familial warmth to the occasion.

The English Recitation Contest at D.B.M.S English School not only showcased the linguistic talent within the student body but also emphasized the school’s dedication to providing a holistic education that goes beyond textbooks and classrooms. The event was a resounding success, leaving an indelible mark on the school’s commitment to fostering confident and articulate individuals.
