Ranchi, Sept 11: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided the locations of Hazaribagh SDO Shailesh Kumar and Noamundi Circle Officer (CO) Manoj Kumar in the Ranchi land scam. Both were earlier posted as CO at Bargain Circle in Ranchi, one of the epicentres of the land scam, being probed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
The ACB apparently conducted raids after the Jharkhand High Court asked the State government about the action taken against officers on the reports shared by the ED.
According to a press communique issued by the state police headquarters, the ACB, probing Ranchi Sadar police case no. 272/2023 conducted the raids to collect further evidence.
The raids were conducted at the premises of both the officers in Ranchi, Hazaribag, Chaibasa and Giridih. The ACB, however, has not divulged the recoveries it made from, these premises.
