THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK
Jamshedpur, March 13: The State-Level Bangiya Utsav 2025, dedicated to preserving Bengali linguistic and cultural heritage in Jharkhand, will be held on March 16, 2025, at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur. The event will be organized under the aegis of the Bangiya Utsav Samiti, as announced by its president, Amit Kumar Patro, during a press conference.
Artists, litterateurs, and spectators from across Jharkhand will take part in this festival. The event will commence at 10 AM, with Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindranath Mahato as the chief guest.
The festival aims to provide a platform for Bengali language, cultural heritage, and folk art in Jharkhand. Various artists from different districts will showcase their talents.

Key performances include:
Anshu Sarkar, recipient of the Yugpurush Samman, and his team will present a yoga performance.
Artists from Chaibasa will perform traditional dance.
Jamshedpur’s Soumi Bose, Sandeep Bose, Sudipta Das, and their team will present a Kathak and Rabindra Sangeet dance sequence themed around Basant Ritu.
Flutist Ashok Das and mouth organ artist Vikas Kumar Sheet will deliver a duet performance.
Dhanbad’s Pupinki Ashram and Akhanda Mandali will showcase spiritual music and yoga demonstrations.
Ranchi’s Sajal Banerjee and his team will present a musical performance.
Kundan Kumar and Kanika Karmakar from Manbhum Purulia will perform Raad Bangla music.
Ankita Basu Banerjee and singer Rana Banerjee from Ranchi’s A.R. Heart Beats Band will present a singing performance.
Bengali folk singer Paushali Banerjee will perform in the evening.

Thousands of people from across Jharkhand are expected to attend. The festival will be a significant occasion for the Bengali community and will also highlight Jharkhand’s cultural heritage.
The organizing committee has made extensive preparations. The official announcement of the event took place at the committee’s office in Bistupur, attended by Chairman Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, President Amit Kumar Patro, Executive President Aparna Guha, Purvi Ghosh, Anshu Sarkar, Mithilesh Ghosh, Shubhankar Chatterjee, Ashok Dutta, Prakash Mukherjee, Binod Dey, General Secretary Uttam Guha, and Treasurer Amit Maity.
Gopal Maidan in Bistupur will host a series of cultural performances, featuring traditional music, dance, and yoga. The committee has encouraged the public to participate in large numbers and make the event a success.
