Ranchi, Jan. 2: BJP State President and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi today again launched a big attack on the Hemant government and said that today, the criminals, brokers and middlemen are fearless in the State.

Addressing a press conference in Dumka, he said that Chief Minister Hemant Soren is continuously doing unconstitutional work.

“Now, it is certain that Soren will go to jail. So, he forced party MLA Sarfaraz Ahmed to resign from the Assembly and make his wife the chief minister. He also knows his wife cannot become MLA from a reserved seat,” Marandi pointed out.

Drawing the governor’s attention towards the decision of the Bombay High Court, he said that if the matter of forming a new government or changing the chief minister came before him, the governor should seek the opinion of the attorney general.

Morale of criminals

On the increasing morale of criminals in the state, Marandi said that now criminals are threatening a prominent newspaper editor from jail. “This is a serious matter. The one who has threatened the editor is Yogendra Tiwari of Dumka; Yogendra Tiwari has a deep connection with Shibu Soren,” he alleged.

Even today, he pointed out that the registry deed of half of the land of Shibu Soren’s massive house in Khajuria, Dumka belongs to Yogendra Tiwari & Company.

DSPs’ transfers

Recalling the recent large-scale transfers of DSPs and their subsequent postings, he said that being a former Chief Minister, he knows the transfer process. “If the decisions of the file signed by the chief minister, home minister and DGP of the state are not implemented, then it can be understood that someone else is wielding the power, he alleged.

Letters on corruption

He said that many times, he requested the government for investigation related to corruption and wrote letters. But the chief minister is giving clean chit to the officials by getting a judicial inquiry done.

He said that the CM only wants to hush up the cases like this. “If he has courage, then he should get the investigation done by honest state police officers like Murarilal Meena and Anil Palta. Their fact-finding will reveal the truth,” he pointed out.

He said that the Chief Minister is deeply involved in corruption and protects the corrupt. “To save them, crores of rupees from the government treasury are being spent on expensive lawyers for the High Court and Supreme Court,”: Marandi said.

ED summons

He said that his running away from questioning even after the seventh summons of ED shows Soren is afraid to answer. “He has no answer to ED’s questions. Even though he says that he is being implicated, after all, who is stopping him from answering?,” he asked.
