Dhanbad, Feb 12: Successful cataract operations of 79 poor people were conducted at the 56th Eye Relief Camp, organised by the Rotary Club and BIT Sindri Rotaract Club and supported by Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) at the community health centre (CHC) Gaushala.
The organiser said 150 people registered in the health camp and underwent thorough screenings of blood pressure and sugar levels and another necessary check for operation.

The SAIL executive director and Rotarian Ranjit Singh were the chief guests, who inaugurated a three-day camp.
The organiser said on the first day of camp, 25 people were successfully operated, and 54 patients were on the second day (total79).

Dr Praveen, Dr Anand Vishwakarma and Dr Ansari conducted the operation of registered people.
Twenty-five patients were discharged, and their vision was restored. The final day saw the discharge of the remaining patients.
Rotaract Club
The Rotaract Club members provided meals and continued to offer attentive care, ensuring each patient felt supported and valued. Over three days, the camp offered vital medical assistance and heartfelt care to individuals suffering from cataracts.
Rotaract Club members Himanshu, Kirti, Kundan, Ayush, Anand, Udit, Ayushi, Manisha, Shilpi, Pratap, Sumit, Priyesh, Subhanshu, Abhishek, Shashikant, Shezman, Mridula, Aditi, Nidhishree, Rishika, Jheel, Tushit, Satyam, Abhay, Kartik, Bhaskar, Apurb, Sarthak, Sanitya, Suman, Nupur, Riya, Komal, Nibha, Sujal, Aryan, Siddhant, Shobit, Khushwant and Suraj were active members in making the camp successful.
