Ranchi, May 18: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday distributed appointment letters to newly recruited intermediate and graduate-trained assistant teachers and Anganwadi supervisors at a function held at the Jharkhand Ministry.

The Chief Minister handed over appointment letters to 160 teachers appointed for Classes 1 to 5, 156 teachers for Classes 6 to 8, and 17 Anganwadi supervisors.
‘Government Reaching Every Household Through You’
Addressing the gathering, Hemant Soren said the appointments mark an important step towards strengthening the state’s education system and ensuring employment opportunities for youth.

He urged the newly appointed employees to work with dedication and serve as representatives of the government at the grassroots level.
“This is not just a job. Through you, the government wants to reach every village, every household and every individual, especially women and children,” the Chief Minister said.
He added that Jharkhand’s tribal, Dalit and backward communities had remained deprived of development for years and stressed the need for inclusive growth.

Focus on Quality Education
The Chief Minister said the state government is committed to improving the quality of education through initiatives like CM School of Excellence.
He noted that efforts are being made to strengthen educational infrastructure and remove longstanding shortcomings in the school system.
Soren also said teachers posted in remote areas should work with commitment instead of hesitating to serve in difficult locations.
“Children in remote areas are like raw clay. It is your responsibility to shape their future,” he said.
Transparent Recruitment Process Highlighted
The Chief Minister highlighted the government’s transparent recruitment process and said more than 9,000 appointments had been made in the education department over the past four months.
According to him, over 16,000 youth have received jobs in the last two years, while around two lakh appointments were made in government, contractual and private sectors during earlier tenures.
He contrasted Jharkhand’s recruitment process with incidents of paper leaks reported in several other states.
‘Maiya Samman Yojana Empowering Women’
Hemant Soren also highlighted the impact of the ‘Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana’, under which nearly 60 lakh women in the state are receiving monthly financial assistance.
He said the scheme is helping women become financially independent and encouraging girls to pursue higher goals.
“It is encouraging to see daughters benefiting from the scheme reaching positions like Collector,” he said.
The Chief Minister stressed that women’s participation is essential for the state’s overall development and said society must support women in moving forward.
Ministers, Officials Attend Event
Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore, Labour, Employment and Training Minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav, Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, School Education and Literacy Department Secretary Uma Shankar Singh and several senior officials attended the programme along with newly appointed candidates and their family members.
