Ranchi, July 23: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today distributed appointment letters to 183 candidates selected for the posts of Assistant Town Planner, Junior Engineer (Mechanical), Motor Vehicle Inspector, Mining Inspector, Junior Engineer (Electrical), Street Light Inspector, Pipeline Inspector in various departments of the state government in the auditorium located at Jharkhand Ministry.

On this occasion, the chief minister said that appointment letters are being provided by the state government to 183 newly appointed candidates selected in various departments to accelerate the development of the State.

He said that some appointments have been made by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission and some appointments have been made by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission.

“The state government has already provided appointment letters on various posts and the candidates who were left out are being given appointment letters today. I am confident that the newly appointed candidates who are receiving the appointment letters today will become an important link in the all-round development of the state,” he added.

Recruits should present a better example of efficiency

The chief minister said that today the Town Planner has been appointed. “His effort should be to see how the city can be developed all-round. Based on your wisdom and your experience, the cities of the state will go in a new direction,” he added.

Soren said that they should work honestly and demonstrate their ability by doing better work. “If they do better work in the development of the state, the government will honour them. The state government will honour not only those selected from UPSC but also those selected from JPSC and JSSC for good work,” he assured.

The chief minister said that the mining activity in Jharkhand is different from other states. “The role of Mining Inspector in the state will prove to be important. Mining activities take place in more than half of the 24 districts of the state. It is the moral responsibility of all of us that mining work is done in a systematic manner and not in a chaotic manner. The issue of mining work needs to be taken seriously,” he added.

Goal is to provide water to every farm

The chief minister told the candidates selected in the Water Resources Department that Jharkhand is a hilly area. “The geographical structure here is completely different. I have been emphasizing the fact that water should be provided to every farm. The state government is moving ahead with new technology and new schemes, but its speed will have to be increased further. Only then will we be able to provide water to all the farms,” he pointed out.

Cities should be developed in a systematic way

Soren told the newly appointed junior engineers, light inspectors and pipeline inspectors that roads are built every day and during the construction of roads, the pipes of the water supply line burst.

“Thousands of gallons of water are wasted unnecessarily due to the bursting of pipelines on the roads. Traffic is also disrupted. The government also has to face criticism through various newspapers and social sites,” he said.

The chief minister said that street lights also keep burning and dimming in the cities. “Many streetlights are tied with lanterns on special occasions. It is their responsibility to streamline other lighting systems including street lights in the cities,” he said.

On this occasion, Ministers Champai Soren, Rameshwar Oraon, Satyanand Bhokta, Hafizul Hasan, Deepak Birua, Chief Secretary L. Khiangte, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Avinash Kumar along with other senior officials and candidates who received appointment letters were present.
