Dhanbad May 1 : Congress nominee Anupama Singh, wife of MLA Jayamangal Singh alias Anup Singh and two other candidates filed their nomination papers for the Dhanbad Lok Sabha seat on Wednesday.
Two other candidates who filed nomination papers were Marxists Coordination Committee (MCC) nominee Jagdish Rawani and Dipak Kumar Das of the People’s Democratic Party (P).
Polling in Dhanbad on May 25
Polling for the Dhanbad Lok Sabha seat is scheduled for May 25. Under the INDI Alliance, the Dhanbad seat has been given to the Congress.
Jharia Congress MLA Purnima Neeraj Singh, senior Cong leader and INTUC national secretary AK Jha, Rani Devi, wife of late former minister Rajendra Prasad Singh ( mother-in-law of Anupama Singh) and Alpana Tiwari, ( a village chief) were proposers and accompanied her in the nomination hall.

Chief Minister Champai Soren also joined the nomination rally of Anupama Singh held at Golf ground in the evening to show INDI Alliance solidarity in the election.
