Jamshedpur, Nov 15: Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar today inaugurated a three-day Industry-Academia Conclave at the Adityapur-based NIT Jamshedpur.
In his inaugural address, the Governor congratulated Jharkhand state on its 24th foundation day today and said that the state has immense possibilities for development due to its vast resources.
Paying tribute to tribal icon Birsa Munda, the Governor said that efforts should be made to make Jharkhand one of the leading states of the country.
Before attending the conclave, the Governor was accorded a guard of honor by the Seraikela -Kharsawan district administration
The Governor later went around the Diamond Jubilee Lecture Hall where about 30 stalls were put up.

Conclave’s focus on Industry-Academia synergy
Representatives of about 60 institutions from across the country and abroad are participating at the conclave.
Such a conclave is being organized for the second time at the tech cradle.
NIT director Prof. Gautam Sutradhar and other senior officials of NIT accompanied the Governor.
Companies including Tata Steel, NTPC, Greco, Power Grid Corporation, GAIL, BCCL, ONGC, DVC, Coal India, Braithwaite & Company Limited, Adhunik, Lakshmi Associates, CCL and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited are participating at the conclave.
The NIT director said that in line with the theme of Developed India-Developed Jharkhand: 2047, the conclave will prove to be a stepping stone towards a more developed and self-reliant economy.
He explained that the objective of the event is to bring together industry leaders, academic experts, policy makers and students to foster innovation, discuss critical industrial challenges and develop solutions that can transform academic research into real-world applications.
