Jamshedpur, Oct 14: The Steel City is gearing up to host one of the most prestigious medical gatherings of the year — the 34th Annual Conference of the East Zone Chapter of the Urological Society of India (EZUSICON 2025).

The three-day conference, organized under the aegis of the Urological Society of India (USI), will take place from October 16 to 18, 2025, at Wave International. The event is being held in Jamshedpur after a gap of 12 years.

The event will be inaugurated by the Governor of Jharkhand, Santosh Gangwar, who will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. The conference promises to be a vibrant platform for scientific exchange, professional networking, and the showcasing of the latest innovations in the field of urology.

Addressing a press conference ahead of the event, Dr. D. K. Mishra (Organizing Chairman), Dr. Harprit Singh (Organizing Secretary), and Dr. Anshul Agrawal shared details of the elaborate arrangements and scientific sessions planned for the gathering.

The organizing team expressed pride in hosting the annual conference in Jamshedpur, calling it a matter of prestige for the city and the medical fraternity of Jharkhand.
The central theme of EZUSICON 2025 — “Staying Updated is the Key to Modern Healthcare” — reflects the commitment of the Urological Society of India to continuous learning, research advancement, and adaptation to emerging medical technologies.
“In a rapidly evolving field like urology, staying informed and innovative is vital to ensure the best patient care outcomes,” said Dr. Mishra.
The conference will commence with the EZUSI Council Meeting on October 15, 2025, at The Wave International.
On Thursday, October 16, 2025, the first day will open with registration from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., coordinated by Dr. Prashant Kumar, Dr. Siddhartha Kumar, Dr. Satyajeet Kumar Singh, and Dr. Bishwarup Guha. This will be followed by a live operative workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., which will be one of the major attractions of the event.

Dr. Anshul Agrawal highlighted the increasing workload faced by urologists in India, noting that the nation bears one of the highest clinical burdens globally in urology-related diseases.
“This conference is an opportunity to share data, refine techniques, and find solutions that enhance patient care. We must encourage young doctors and researchers to take an active role in advancing the field,” he added.
