Ranchi, May 14: The Judicial Academy, Jharkhand, has announced that all future training programmes, conferences and workshops will be conducted in online mode until further directions, marking a major step towards digital transformation in judicial education and capacity building.

The decision has been taken following directions issued by the Jharkhand High Court and in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for fuel conservation amid the ongoing global energy crisis.
According to the Academy, the move reflects its commitment to adopting technology-driven learning systems within the judiciary while ensuring uninterrupted judicial training across the state.

Judicial Officers to Attend Training Remotely
Under the new system, judicial officers and staff nominated for various training programmes will no longer be required to travel to the Judicial Academy campus in Ranchi.

Instead, participants will attend sessions virtually from their respective workplaces through digital platforms.
The Academy said joining links, schedules and online participation guidelines will be shared with participants well in advance to ensure smooth conduct of programmes.
Move Aimed at Efficiency and Resource Conservation
Officials said the transition from physical classroom-based sessions to virtual platforms is expected to improve accessibility, optimise resources and strengthen institutional outreach.
The Academy also stated that online training would help maintain continuity in judicial education while reducing travel-related expenditure and fuel consumption.
The initiative is being seen as part of a broader push towards digital governance and modernisation within the judicial system in Jharkhand.
