Ranchi, Oct 14: In a major development in Jharkhand’s high-profile liquor scam, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested seven accused. Those arrested include Mahesh Sidge, Jagan Desai, Kamal Desai, Sheetal Desai, and Bipin Parmar, among others.

The arrested individuals are officials of Vision and Marshall companies. The ACB made the arrests from Mumbai and Gujarat. These two companies had come under scrutiny after their bank guarantees were found to be forged, making the case widely discussed.

So far, the ACB has already arrested senior IAS officer Vinay Chaubey, Chhattisgarh businessman Siddharth Singhania, Jharkhand IAS officer Amit Prakash, and Vidhu Gupta, Director of Prism Holography.

However, all of them were granted bail due to the agency’s failure to file the chargesheet on time. The ACB has registered the case under Crime Number 9/2025.

The agency had obtained warrants against the seven accused last month. After arresting them, the ACB is bringing them to Ranchi on transit remand, where they will be produced before the special ACB court.
