Dhanbad, February 6: Binod Bihari Mahto College, Baliapur, felicitated promising ace shooter Archi Gupta for their outstanding performance in the All Indian National Rifle Shooting championship concluded recently at Karni Singh Shooting Range, New Delhi.

Principal of Binod Bihari Mahto College, Dr PC Mandal, while felicitating Archi Gupta, said that she has glorified the name of the college and university, the Dhanbad district, and Jharkhand state. “Her achievement would encourage other students and children of backward regions to excel,” said Principal Dr Mandal.
National championship
Archi Gupta participated in junior and senior events in the national championship and got high appreciation from shooting national and international pundits present during the Karni Singh Shooting Range championship.

Earlier, she had won a gold medal and champion trophy in inter–university games. She had also bagged the top position in the shooting championship held at Asansol.
Natural player
Archi Gupta’s coach, Rajendra Singh, said on the occasion that she is a natural player in rifle shooting and has the potential to excel on the international stage.
In the felicitation ceremony, senior teachers of the college, Dr Satyam Roy, Dr Prem Kumar Bauri, Dr S Mandal, Dr Murli Manohar Mahto, Dr Nirmal Mahto, Dr B Prasad, Dr Sunil Mahto, Parimal Kumar Mahto, Vikash Bauri and Dabloo Mahto also appreciated Archi Gupta’s performance.
