Ranchi, April 18: For the first time, the capital of Jharkhand, Ranchi, will witness the Indian Air Force’s courage and prowess. A grand air show by the Surya Kiran Aerobatics Team will take place at the Khoja Toli Army Ground in Namkum on April 19 and 20, from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM.
Spectators are required to arrive at their seats by 8:30 AM. The thrilling event will feature 10 Hawk aircraft, which will perform incredible aerial stunts in the sky, showcasing the Air Force’s strength and technology.
The 10 Hawk aircraft of the Surya Kiran team have already arrived at Ranchi Airport. These planes have flown over the city, mapping the area, and exciting the locals with their daring maneuvers ahead of the show.

Airspace to Be Closed for Two Days
On April 19 and 20, from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM, Ranchi Airport’s airspace will be fully closed. No aircraft will land or take off during this time.
According to airport authorities, some flight schedules may be adjusted, but flights will not be canceled. Flights from Hyderabad and Mumbai to Ranchi, as well as flights to Delhi, may be impacted.
No-Fly Zone Declared Till May 20
Due to the air show, a 200-meter radius around the Army Ground in Namkum has been declared a no-fly zone until May 20. Activities such as drone flying, paragliding, and hot air ballooning will be strictly prohibited, and violators will face strict penalties.
Air Force Chief and Minister to Attend
The Air Force Chief, Air Marshal AP Singh, will be present to witness this historic air show in Ranchi. Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth has appealed to all schools and colleges to bring students to witness the event and get an up-close look at the valour of the Air Force.

To ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the event, the administration has made several arrangements. Spectators must enter the venue by 8:30 AM.
Parking facilities will be organized, and signage will be placed for convenience. Additional security personnel will be deployed to manage the crowd.
Restrictions on Meat and Fish Sales Near Event Venue
To prevent bird activity during the air show, the sale of meat and fish has been banned within a 200-meter radius of Khoja Toli in Namkum. All meat and fish shops in the area will remain closed from 6 AM to 11 PM on April 19 and 20.
