Jamshedpur, Oct 10: Panic gripped the Ramdas Bhatta area of Bistupur after eight-year-old Arish Gaddi mysteriously went missing on Thursday evening, raising strong suspicion of abduction.

According to reports, Arish, son of electrician Firdous Gaddi, was playing near his home around 6 p.m. when he suddenly disappeared.

As he didn’t return, his family began searching the neighbourhood. During the search, a local worker claimed to have seen Arish walking away with an unidentified man.

On checking nearby CCTV footage, the family found visuals showing a man taking the child along with him around 7:45 p.m. The footage deepened fears of kidnapping.

In a desperate bid to trace the boy, family members reached Ghatshila’s Galudih Toll Plaza, where staff allegedly confirmed seeing a child in a car matching the description.
