Ashish Kumar wins BIT Sindri Coding Competition

Dhanbad, May 6: Ashish Kumar from the Information Technology Engineering department clinched the first position in the Coding Competition organized by the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Society at BIT Sindri.

The competition saw participation from students across various departments. In the preliminary round, students tackled initial coding problems, with the top 15 performers advancing to the final round. The final phase tested participants with complex algorithmic challenges under a strict time limit.

The top five coders were:

  • 1st: Ashish Kumar (Information Technology Engineering)
  • 2nd: Nikhil Vinay (Mechanical Engineering)
  • 3rd: Vaibhav Gupta (Electrical Engineering)
  • 4th: Aditya Kumar Shah (Computer Science Engineering)
  • 5th: Saket Ask (Electronics and Communication Engineering)

The event was inaugurated in the morning by Dr. Amar Prakash Sinha, Head of the ECE Department. Professors and dignitaries including Dr. Imtiyaz Ahmed (Professor in-charge of the ECE Society), Dr. M.G. Tiyari, Dr. Pankaj Rai (Director, BIT Sindri and Patron of ECE Society), and Prof. Gunjan Gandhi (Faculty Coordinator) were present to encourage the participants.

Organizers praised the students for demonstrating exceptional logical reasoning and technical skill under pressure, making the competition both challenging and rewarding.
