Dhanbad, July 11: Central Hospital of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) Dhanbad has received two prestigious certifications from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), marking a significant milestone in healthcare and safety standards.

According to a senior BCCL official, the hospital has been awarded ISO 9001:2015 for quality management systems and ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety management. Both certifications were issued by UKAF Cert Limited, a United Kingdom-based certifying agency.

BCCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Samiran Dutta called the certification a proud moment for the hospital and the company. “These certifications confirm that Central Hospital is capable of delivering health services at international standards. It reflects the hospital’s efficiency and the company’s commitment to worker welfare,” Dutta said.

“With this achievement, Central Hospital joins the elite group of select public sector hospitals in the country that have earned international certifications in both quality and safety,” he added.

Opens Doors for Research and Institutional Collaboration

Officials noted that the dual recognition paves the way for new opportunities, including high-level clinical research and collaborations with national and international institutions. The certification is expected to boost the hospital’s capacity in both medical excellence and innovation.
